3-Star accommodation

On Day 2, you will be staying in a minimum of 3-star accommodation. The specific accommodation will depend on the route and availability, but all rooms are en-suite and suitable for purpose. Participants will be sharing twin rooms split between males and females, or couples if they booked together. If you would like to upgrade to single occupancy, you can do so during the booking process.

Fitness level

To complete the London to Amsterdam challenge, you’ll need a solid level of fitness and endurance. Over three days, you’ll ride between 75 and 85 miles per day, spending around seven hours in the saddle at an average pace of 13mph. It’s achievable, but it’s not easy; you’ll need to prepare both physically and mentally.

You don’t need to be an elite cyclist, but you do need to commit to training. A structured plan combining endurance rides, speed work and strength training will prepare you properly. Working with a coach or joining a cycling club can also help you stay motivated and consistent.

Success comes down to preparation, mindset and teamwork. Train well, stay positive and you’ll be ready to take on this demanding, and hugely rewarding, ride.

Training advice will be provided.

Speed groups

You won’t be left behind if you’re a slower rider.

The challenge is designed to suit a range of fitness levels. Leaders ride at the front and back of the group, setting a steady, manageable pace and taking regular breaks so everyone can rest and regroup. The aim is to keep the team together from start to finish.

That said, you’re responsible for pacing yourself and managing your energy each day. If you’re struggling, speak up. The leaders are there to support you with guidance, encouragement and practical help when you need it.

With the right preparation and mindset, you’ll be fully supported every mile of the way.
