Itinerary

  • Day 1 | Arrival in Kranj, Slovenia

Your adventure begins in the charming Slovenian town of Kranj, where you’ll check into your accommodation and settle in before the challenge begins. Arrive at your leisure, relax, and take time to prepare for the incredible journey ahead.

In the evening, you’ll meet the team and your fellow riders for a welcome dinner and event briefing at 19:00. This is the time to make any final bike adjustments and ensure everything is ready for the start of the ride the following morning.

If you prefer to avoid the hassle of flying with your bike, can transport it for you in the support vehicle.

  • Day 2 | Kranj to Lovran (85 miles | 1330m elevation)

The ride begins as you leave Kranj and head south through the beautiful Slovenian countryside. Skirting around the busy capital of Ljubljana, you’ll soon find yourself on quiet roads surrounded by rolling landscapes and alpine views.

As the day unfolds, the excitement builds towards your border crossing into Croatia. The reward comes in the form of a long, exhilarating descent that carries you down to sea level and into the coastal town of Lovran.

  • Day 3 | Lovran to Senj (51 miles | 775m elevation)

Today you ride further south along Croatia’s stunning Adriatic coastline. The route follows sweeping coastal roads with incredible views across the bright blue sea.

While the elevation profile may look challenging on paper, the climbing is gradual and manageable, while the descents are long, fast and incredibly rewarding. It’s a day designed for flowing riding and soaking up the scenery.

  • Day 4 | Senj to Zadar (88 miles | 1872m elevation)

This is the biggest day of the challenge — longer, higher and tougher, but also one of the most spectacular. An early start rewards you with quiet morning roads as you glide along one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the region.

The adventure continues with a short ferry crossing to the island of Pag, famous for its wine, cheese and lively culture. After landing on the island, you’ll stop for lunch in the beach town of Novalja before continuing across the island.

Crossing the bridge back to mainland Croatia, you’ll take a final break before the last push to the historic coastal city of Zadar.

  • Day 5 | Zadar to Trogir (74 miles | 756m elevation)

With the hardest miles behind you, the final day offers a fast and rewarding finish to the challenge. The first 50 miles are flat, smooth and perfect for cruising along the coast.

You’ll stop for lunch in the lively port town of Vodice before tackling the final climb of the adventure — a gradual ascent spread over 12 miles.

Then comes the grand finale: a spectacular 10-mile descent that carries you down into the enchanting harbour town of Trogir. Crossing the finish line here marks the end of an unforgettable cycling journey along the Adriatic coast.

Slovenia-Croatia was a truly outstanding trip; it was one of the most enjoyable events that I have ever taken part in. The route itself was fantastic, truly challenging, with miles and miles of wonderful scenery, and we were lucky with the weather. Trogir really is an inspiring place to finish, some of us stayed on a little longer. All the staff involved were outstanding. I felt everything was clear and easy to understand from the start. I liked how well the trip was organised. I thought the route was very well planned out. Having a support van at all times was a nice luxury I was not used to. All staff members were very caring and looked after our every need. Michael F
