Autumn 2025 Charity Update
Quick book
Our latest updates make it easier than ever to recruit fundraisers, create fundraising pages and monitor fundraisers progress.
We have weekly conversations with fundraising teams that find the process of using third party events for fundraising far too complicated; and we have daily conversations with fundraisers who find securing a charity place too difficult - often being bounced from site to site, confronted with multiple forms and confusing instructions.
We're on a mission to make it much simpler and Quick book is our solution - creating a hassle-free process which gives instant confirmation of a place to the participant, builds them a ready-made fundraising page so that you can focus on supporting their fundraising.

Recruiting the fundraiser
With Quick book, you no longer get a lead to process and nurture - by the time you get a booking:
- The participant has paid the registration fee (if applicable)
- The participant has agreed to raise the minimum sponsorship amount
- The participant has been added to our event community to help encourage more people to take part
- A JustGiving fundraising page linked to the charity (and optional campaign) has been created for the participant
- The fundraising page has been added to MyTOD to make it easy for the charity to monitor fundraising progress

Creating a fundraising page
We also create a JustGiving page linked to the charity - and linked to a campaign if the charity has one.

Monitoring fundraising progress
Once the fundraising page is created, we start monitoring fundraising progress on a weekly basis - just login to MyTOD and go to the new 'Fundraisers' page to see how your fundraisers are doing.

Other quick book features
Other features built-in to quick book include:
- Terms & conditions - add custom terms the participant must agree to
- Tickets - set different price levels for the same event eg. Β£25+Β£250 or Β£125+Β£150
- Age, email & address checks - ensure participants are old enough and provide valid contact details
Event communities
Participants are automatically added to our event communities, which helps create a sense of community and encourage people interested in taking part to sign up and join in.

Fundraising activity
Current fundraisers are also shown on event listings to provide social proof of active fundraising and help allay concerns that people interested in taking part may have about their own ability to fundraise.

Fundraising leaderboards
Fundraising leaderboards can be created to showcase fundraisers across the website and link to their fundraising pages on JustGiving, Enthuse, and other platforms. These can be used to introduce gamification and help increase engagement of fundraisers.

Quick book creates a much simpler user journey for the participant and makes things much easier for you - and saves your team the time and effort involved in nurturing and converting leads into bookings, setting up fundraising pages and monitoring their fundraising progress. It also means you only pay for signed-up fundraisers, not leads. To find out more, please email charities@timeoutdoors.com or to request a demo, please schedule a call.
Coming next...
We're already working on the next project plus new features for quick book. Our new account manager starts mid-November so if you're already working with us, please expect a call! Make sure you follow the Charities Team to stay up-to-date.
