Overview

Claremont Road Runners, based in Newcastle City Centre, welcomes runners of all abilities.  Training nights are Monday and Wednesday and given the Club’s location, it is ideally placed for those working in or near central Newcastle.  Routes often take runners through beautiful local parks such as Jesmond Dene.

Training sessions are led by experienced club leaders and structure allows for different abilities.  Members often also get together for additional training runs and to enter races.  Events organised include the quarterly handicap and the Club’s annual team race, the Weetslade Relay in Weetslade Country Park, which includes a hill section of much discussion!
