An informal group with no subscription fee, who meet on alternate Sunday mornings to walk in the countryside around Ely in Cambridgeshire.
Ely Walking Group meet fortnightly, on alternate Sundays, throughout the year whatever the weather. Each walk is led by a volunteer leader and members are encouraged to share their own routes and lead a walk throughout the year, but this is not compulsory. There is no age limit for walks and well behaved dogs are welcome but entirely the owners responsibility.
There is no membership cost and no obligation to attend every walk. The programme of walks is updated regularly and emailed to signed up members. The Group also holds an annual dinner in January.
