Overview

Get Your Boots On is part of The Ramblers Association and run entirely by members who volunteer their time to lead walks and organise social events.  The Group meet on a monthly basis for a drink and a chat and aim to lead 2 or 3 weekend walks per month, with weekday evening walks in Summer. Walks cover a variety of routes and locations including the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, Yorkshire Wolds, and the Yorkshire Coast.  Dogs are allowed on some walks.

A number of weekends away are organised throughout the year, usually with a hostel stay, and the main trip away is over Easter. Previous trips include Scotland, Wales, Shropshire and the Lake District.

4 steps to wellbeing
Sleep well

A good night's sleep is an essential foundation for a healthy lifestyle, effective training and weight control.

Train slow

Low-intensity training is easier for you, reduces the risk of injury and helps builds an efficient aerobic system.

Eat natural

Cut out sugar & junk food, reduce carbs, eat natural foods and train your body to burn fat for fuel.

Get outdoors

Fresh air, natural light and reconnecting with nature all help to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
