Based to the West of London, this friendly group ride weekly, taking in the areas around Staines, Dorking and Amersham.
Hounslow and District Wheelers welcomes new members to try their Sunday rides and also offers time trials and other events for those who wish to race. Primarily a road club, members do also arrange off-road and velodrome cycling. The Club runs a 100K Audax ride called ’The London Sightseer’ that goes through London to the O2 Dome and back.
Whilst the Club does not have a dedicated junior section, juniors are welcome to participate on group rides if able to manage the distances and an average speed of say 14-15 miles per hour.
Socially, the Club meets every Tuesday at Staines Sailing Club and has regular events including BBQs, quiz nights and an annual dinner. It arranges trips nationally and overseas, including to the Tour De France and Mallorca.
