Youth Go-Ride Coaching

09:45

Age 6-16

This is a two hour skills coaching session for ages 6+ years, led by qualified British Cycling Coaches and split into ability groups.

  • Mountain biking

Overview

Our primary focus is bringing younger people into mountain biking with our British Cycling Go-Ride Coaching Programme.

Go-Ride is an initiative of British Cycling and we run regular coaching sessions for riders aged 6-16 in our dedicated woodland at Lotts Wood near Amersham.  All our Coaches are qualified to British Cycling standards, or are training to meet that standard.  Club members also have the opportunity to join in other local Go-Ride events, trail rides and the British Cycling holiday programmes.

Our coaching sessions are fun and inclusive, and enable young riders of all abilities to make like-minded friends and gain the skills and techniques to ride all types of MTB terrain.

4 steps to wellbeing
Sleep well

A good night's sleep is an essential foundation for a healthy lifestyle, effective training and weight control.

Train slow

Low-intensity training is easier for you, reduces the risk of injury and helps builds an efficient aerobic system.

Eat natural

Cut out sugar & junk food, reduce carbs, eat natural foods and train your body to burn fat for fuel.

Get outdoors

Fresh air, natural light and reconnecting with nature all help to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
