Social Run

Age 18 & over

One or two run groups led in a way to allow runners at the back to catch up with a focus on beginners in summer months, and a “runandtalk” run for mental health awareness once a month.

Tadcaster Harriers, based in the market town of Tadcaster, welcomes new members of any ability.  Training twice weekly, the focus is on enjoyment of running and mental health, with groups split by pace and led by qualified group leaders.

It is optional but encouraged that members compete and runners have had success in events from 5k to ultra marathons over a variety of terrains including road, trail, cross country and fell. The Club organises events including the Club Handicap Races where no matter how fast or slow you are anyone has a chance of winning, and is involved in the York Summer Road League, a series of seven 10k road races from April to July.
