Overview

Established in 2014, Tandem Trekkers caters exclusively for cyclists suffering from sight-loss. We offer training for new tandem pilots and own our own fleet of over 20 bikes. It's our policy to invite all first-time riders, pilots (fully sighted front-riders) and stokers (blind or visually impaired back-riders) with Trekkers, to initially come to a track/induction session at Leeds Road Sports Complex in Huddersfield. These are normally held on the first Saturday of every month.  Please see the ride calendar on our website for details of upcoming rides.

4 steps to wellbeing
Sleep well

A good night's sleep is an essential foundation for a healthy lifestyle, effective training and weight control.

Train slow

Low-intensity training is easier for you, reduces the risk of injury and helps builds an efficient aerobic system.

Eat natural

Cut out sugar & junk food, reduce carbs, eat natural foods and train your body to burn fat for fuel.

Get outdoors

Fresh air, natural light and reconnecting with nature all help to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
