Tŷ Hafan

No parent imagines that their child will die before them.

Sadly, that is the reality facing thousands of families in Wales. Tŷ Hafan can’t stop their child from dying, but they can make sure that they’re not alone.

logo

At the hospice, and in Welsh communities and family homes, they provide specialist care and support, helping to make a short life a happy life and, when the time comes, provide end-of-life care for seriously unwell children and young people.

Currently, they are only reaching one in ten families in Wales; this isn’t enough. When a child has a short life, they and their family endure a daily struggle, often without adequate care and support.

Their ambition is simple: every child should have access to essential services exactly when and where they need them.

Tŷ Hafan believes in a Wales where families have the power to choose the care and support that suits them best. But they can’t do this alone.

Together, we can make sure that no family faces the unimaginable loss of a child without the care and compassion they deserve.
