Event overview
The one-lap 10K starts and finishes on Bedford Embankment, following the flat, tree-lined River Ouse out to Priory Park. After a lap of Priory Lake, you’ll cross Town Bridge and return to a crowd-lined finish.
Half marathon runners complete a second lap, with a short extension to reach the full 21.1km (13.1 miles).
The route is entirely traffic-free on tarmac or firm paths, with minimal elevation; under 50m for the 10K and 100m for the half, making it ideal for chasing a PB.
Expect more than just a race, with a pre-run warm-up led by personal trainers, a lively finish-line atmosphere with a professional commentator, and quality catering for supporters.
A free children’s fun run takes place before the main event, just turn up on the day and join in.

Overview
The one lap 10K course starts and finishes on the beautiful Bedford Embankment and runs out alongside the flat, tree-lined river Ouse. After heading out towards Priory Park and a lap of the beautiful Priory Lake, you’ll return to the Embankment over the Town Bridge and hear the cheers of the crowds at the finish line.
Those tackling the Half Marathon will head back out for a second lap with a slight extension to make up the accurate 21.1km (13.1 mile) Half Marathon distance.
The course will have both kilometre markers for the 10K and mile markers for the Half Marathon.
The whole route is on traffic-free tarmac or firm paths and with less than 50m of elevation across the 10K and 100m across the Half Marathon it's bound to be a PB buster!

The Bedford 10k is flat and fast, great PB potential. Lovely course and well marshalled. The medal was beautiful. Think it’s up there as one of my favourites. Definitely recommend this race. Petra W

Well organised event, friendly race organisers and volunteers Sarah O
Really good event. Nice flat course, very well organised and supportive Marshalls all around the course. Will definitely do it again next year. Lee A
Firstly the event was huge with plenty going on, fun fair for the children, music for the adults and food venders around. The run itself was well organised with pacers on the 10k from 35 mins all the way to 75 mins. It was marshalled well all the way around and had music playing at some of the further away locations.
