The swim in the river Blackwater is tidal so always a bit of a challenge in one direction but usually has a nice current assistance in the other. The buoyancy of the salt water is always welcome too! Roslyn M

Superb event. So Unique with a super fast bike course. The swim was total chaos but I loved it :-) great event location, superb event and awesome medal. Nathan

My first ever triathlon and it was such a fun experience. I feel so lucky to have been able to be a part of such a well organized event and because of that I will absolutely be competing in more triathlons! Mitchell T

Lovely races here. The shallow muddy estuary start is a hoot. Salty water is really warm. Anthony G

Great event in a location that was also fantastic for supporters. Really enjoyable Swim/Bike/Run/sections with superb marshals. Justin M

Was such a nice friendly local event I’ll be back next year for sure! Charlotte L

parking is right next to the transition and registration area making it stress free to get your number pack and rack the bike. The race itself was great fun, swimming in an estuary was something a bit different Neill W

Really nicely run event, with smooth check in pre race, well signed race course and good vibes. Sea swim at high tide was enjoyable, the bike course loop was quiet and good for going fast and the run is testing with mixed terrain but still flat and fast and made for an enjoyable overall race. Volunteers did a great job. Shout out to the race announcer who kept a good atmosphere going! David G

This event is fantastically organised and all the organisers/volunteers are so helpful and friendly. The course for the run is particularly beautiful along the sea front. Lucy B

Really enjoyed this triathlon, my first ever open water swim and I felt very safe and had a great swim. Olly G
