Spectators

The start, the swim, much of the run and the finish are all conveniently located together, making excellent spectator viewing at Grafham Water Reservoir. The swim takes place in the lake consisting of a two lap course that is easy to navigate; a quick Australian style exit on each lap makes a great spectacle for your family/friends to support you from.

Once you are out of the water you are straight out on your bike. The roads around the villages offer great surfaces for fast riding and only the odd short climb to challenge you. The bike course will be fast, but don’t underestimate it – especially if it’s a windy day!

On returning to Grafham Water, you will conquer the multi-lap course around the edge of the lake comprising of both tarmac and hard compound tracks that offers a feed station every two miles or so and is lined with supporters willing you all the way to the finish line.

There will be live commentary, music and photos as you celebrate your achievements with your friends and family.

My first middle distance triathlon. Such a beautiful location. The support from marshals and event team was fantastic. Would highly recommend. Nadia

Great event! I've taken part a few times. Really friendly support all round and everything is really straightforward.
I like a "no-faff" race and this is great. Turn up, park on site, pick up pack, rack and go! Michelle

Really enjoyed the event - Marshall's and stewards very incredibly helpful and friendly. Good surroundings - leafy lanes and a pretty reservoir. Lydia

This is a beautiful friendly event. The organisers are very relaxed and flexible. The swim is fun with an "Aussie exit" half way through (which is smooth on the feet, not rocky!) The bike course is mostly flat with some one sharp and a few other climbs. The run is 4 laps by the lake, 2/3rds on flat tarmac, 1/3rd on rolling grass. Ben R

Great event and beautiful course. A must-do for any serious athlete! Max W

This event is FANTASTIC! The water is absolutely beautiful. It's my favourite place to swim, it's so clear and not choppy. Then the bike is lovely, really quiet roads , nice and fairly flat, very scenic if you can enjoy the view. The stop stations are well stocked with gels and drinks, and friendly volunteers. The run is hard - a bit of off road, but it is flat and there are loads of places for spectators. It's genuinely my favourite race of the year. It's such a good vibe at the finish line; drinks and snacks, and the weather is always good! Em V

Beautiful location for a race. The swim involved an Aussie exit, which was actually on sand! Bike course is great, some fast, some hills. The run was by the lake, lots of atmosphere. Ben R

Really enjoyed this event. My first time and it exceeded my expectations. Nick C

This was my first middle distance Triathlon and what a good choice ! Grafham Water is a beautiful location that's easy to find with plenty of parking and good facilities for spectators with a cafe and children's play area etc. Maria L

The staff and volunteers were EXCEPTIONAL. Every single one of them wanted me to enjoy the event, and I did. Neil P
