Event overview
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, the ATW Hatfield 5 promises a memorable experience and plenty of positive vibes.
The race starts at The Forum, on the Herts University Campus, before heading along the pavements of college lane. After two sweeping bends, you are on The Alban Way, one of the most popular running routes in Hatfield and St Albans.
You will turn onto Wilkins Green Lane, and follow it to the end where you will have only completed 3 metres of climbing! After crossing the Alban Way you'll join Smallford Lane and another sweeping corner will take you onto Sleapcross Gardens, before meandering onto the super-flat and straight A414 footpath.
Taking the footpath onto Comet Way, you'll head back to the final mile, along the Alban Way and back into race HQ, having finished one of the fastest 5 mile courses in the UK!
Participants can look forward to a supportive atmosphere, custom-designed medals, and free event photos, as well as finish line snacks and goodies to recharge after your run. Don't miss out on the chance to be part of this exciting event!

This a great event- the support from the marshals was fab and the course was nice and flat. This is a popular race but because it was so well organised, everything seemed to go very smoothly and getting my number at registration was super quick- I will definitely be back next year :) Danielle H
Another great ATW event, nice local race with plenty of parking, facilities and the option to hide inside to avoid the November chill. Great enthusiastic marshals, well sign posted and overall a great run. It really is fast and itβs lovely thatβs itβs a race for all abilities. Definitely recommend! Petra W
