Parking

Parking is available at the Lee Valley Regional Park, parking charges may apply. There is no parking at the White Water Centre.

By rail

Lee Valley is a beautiful regional park, just a 40 minute train ride from London. Waltham Cross station is a short walk away.

Overview

The route is flat, fast and traffic-free offering genuine PB potential.

The half marathon is a two-loop route which heads out into the beautiful River Lee country park that surrounds the White Water Centre.

This road race is licenced by UK Athletics which means the wearing of headphones is strictly prohibited except bone conductors which leave the ear open to marshal instructions, traffic or emergency announcements.

• Recycling bins
• Recycling gets separated from general waste
• Finish line water bottles made from recycled material
• Refill taps are provided so participants can bring their own bottle and fill up during the event
• The choice of paper cups at water stations
• Signage including course marking attached with reusable garden wire instead of plastic cable ties
• 'Dynamic bib assignment’ removes the need for envelopes, sticker labels and excess waste
• Bike racking is provided to promote cycling to the events

Another great event. Pre race information was sent out in plenty of time. From the marshall guiding us to the parking right through to the team handing out the medals, water and goodies at the end everything really was spot on. The route was scenic and flat - a bonus! My 1st time. Thought everything was well organised. Everyone involved was so friendly and helpful.There were water stations and at the end more drinks and treats. Great medal. Well organised. Great support and PB potential is high here. Nice 2 lap event so good for spectators. Went into the race as a training event for a full and ended up close to a PB without realising. Decent medal and good facilities at the white water centre to eat and drink after. Gemma P
