Overview

The popular Welwyn Half Marathon starts and finishes on the impressive 400m athletics track at Gosling Sports Park. You will be directed out of the stadium, towards the Cole Green Way – a disused railway line which is now a perfect traffic-free track to run along. After this traffic free section you will complete a short loop to bring you back onto the Cole Green Way again. You then complete the first section in reverse and finish on the track at Gosling Sports Park.

Limited paid parking is available at the race venue with additional parking locations available in Welwyn Town centre. Further details will be provided in the pre-race information.

My 4th ish Welwyn Half Marathon. As usual, the event starts off at the Gosling athletics track, and really pleased that the organisers have listened to feedback and you now run more of the track, which is a great exciting start to the race. Also the family fun run at the start is an excellent idea, more races should do this - my kids loved it. Well sign posted throughout, and a mix of different surfaces, with a couple of gradual gradients, make this a more challenging than your run of the mill pavement half. Really good race for local runners. James D
