Event overview
Join in at the Belvoir Castle Multisport Event weekend to race through the beautiful grounds and surrounding area of stunning Leicestershire.
This event has been awarded the 2027 European Championship Sprint Distance Triathlon Qualifier, taking place on Saturday 18th July 2026.
Pick your discipline - triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, swim and run - and choose a distance from starter to elite. Recruit your friends and celebrate completing your challenge in our festival village.
Set within this remarkable estate and sets the scene for the perfect family-friendly weekend festival!
Like an illustration in a romantic fairy tale, crowning the top of an isolated hill, the castle turrets and towers rise above the Vale of Belvoir. Looking over the battlements from the North Terrace, you can see for miles over the counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. The name Belvoir – meaning ‘beautiful view’ in French- is pronounced today as ‘beaver’.
Fans of TV series, The Crown, will recognise several scenes filmed at Belvoir Castle. This Regency Castle was the perfect fit to recreate the Royals’ residence.
The Belvoir Castle Multisport event will feature some truly iconic courses amidst the 3,000 acres of naturally designed landscape, a large range of races for all ages and abilities.
Whether you’re 9 or 90 years old, a first-timer or an elite, you can pick from our triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, run and swim races.
This event is part of Belvoir Castle Triathlon and Multisport Festival.

This was my first ever triathlon. I found the pre race info useful especially with the videos. Charlotte R
This was the 4th castle series triathlon I've done and definitely the hardest course. It was well organised and well marshalled and the course was scenic. Erica H
A lovely location and very well organised. Friendly marshalls and a great overall feel to the event. Iain D
I was very late signing up for the event and the lady I spoke to on the phone (Jo) was really helpful! In general it all seemed very well organised, especially considering the number of different disciplines that were on. Adam R
I have to give a big thank-you to all the marshalls; despite being the last person to finish on Sunday, I got nothing but encouragement, support and positivity from all the helpers, as I trudged my 20km. Peter M
My first ever triathlon and I loved it. Was pretty anxious on the lead up to it, even telling the wife to never let me enter another one. Duncan K
First Triathlon & we loved it! Even though the run course was super slippy in places due to the rain. Jen F
Highly organised and well communicated event which I thoroughly enjoyed despite the extremely wet weather. Regular water stations, well stocked aid stations and easy to follow routes with plenty of signage. Immy J
Great course, with a tough run route! Very well organised event, will definitely do more Castle Race series events in the future. Henry P
A great event as always from Castle Triathlon. I have now completed the Gauntlet at Belvoir, Hever and Cholmondeley Castle with all the races being very well organised but tough. Daniel B
Generally a good experience as my first time at this venue and with Castle races. Parking was well signed and marshalled. Andy L
I participated in the Sprint Plus which was a good mix of distances. The event was very well organised and I enjoyed the event. Helen M
My second year entering the sprint plus at Belvoir Castle. The event was very well run as usual. John S
Really well run event - great setting and very well supported - thank you! Bruno R
Always a great race. Would prefer if the swim started with a longer section before the first turn buoy as it got quite congested. Des C
Overall enjoyed the event and thought it was very well organised. The lake was very weedy. Steve C
Good event, I read course info fairly thoroughly and listened to all briefings and didn't pick up the run was mostly trail so didn't bring trail shoes. Matthew H
I thought it was a really good course that gave plenty of variety. Marshalls were helpful and the event was well run. Marcus D
Overall really good. Camping great - good facilities, big field, organised registration and close to the event. Helen M
I never imagined that I would compete in a triathlon but yesterday I turned up at Belvoir Castle to compete in the Starter Tri. I thought I'd feel nervous and self-conscious but the help I received from the Castle Series team was incredible. Connie B
This was my first triathlon and I enjoyed it. The communication before the event was spot on and the event itself was incredibly well organised. Mark H
This was my first event and it was absolutely brilliant. So well organised, friendly marshalls. Diane M
I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the organisation of the triathlon – everything ran smoothly from start to finish. A huge thank you to the organisers for their attention to detail and thoughtful planning. Samantha J
Brilliant event! Very well organised, friendly and encouraging! Rachel H
