Event overview

The Half Marathon, apart from about 200m at the start and finish which is run across the recreation ground the race is run on pleasant quiet roads in the undulating North Dorset Countryside. These are country lanes apart from a stretch on a B Road. The Fun Run uses the initial part of the half marathon course and then turns off near the 3 mile point and returns by an alternative route to the half marathon to the common start/finish. Total course 5 3/4 miles. The event is well signed and there is ample parking which is clearly signed. Please do not park at The Village Hall. In Holt Lane, Giles Lane, Milburn Lane or on the main A 3030 where the verges are coned off or where race officials ask you not to. Toilets are available at the Start/Finish. Please book in at Race HQ in the Village Hall to collect your race number and be aware its a walk across the main road and recreation ground to the start and finish. There is food and drink for sale in the hall and a shop and pub in the village.
