A standard distance triathlon (1500m swim, 42k bike, 10k run) set in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park at Broad Haven, a beautiful expanse of golden sand.

In 2023 the event will once again be hosting a stage of the Welsh Triathlon Super Series and will therefore be televised. The event is permitted by British Triathlon. As standard distance triathlons go, it would be fair to describe this one as challenging! The 1500m open water sea swim is a rectangular course and never ventures more than 200m from the shoreline. The 42k bike has over 400m of climbing, and is mainly on rural roads with some fast flat sections, especially as you head back to Broad Haven from Haverfordwest. The first 3k of the run, which has 130m of ascent in total, takes you onto the Pembrokeshire Coast Path with spectacular views over St Bride’s Bay, before returning on quiet country lanes to Broad Haven and the famed beach finish.
