Event overview

The run has a real community event atmosphere, and the mostly tarmac surfaced route passes through open countryside and touches the north of Cambridge. The 2025 event will start and finish as usual at Histon & Impington Recreation Ground, the route is currently being finalised and will be different in some places from previous years at the Guided Busway Bridleway cannot be used for events for Health and Safety reasons. The event is organised by local charity Friends of Histon & Impington Community (HI Friends), and supported by the village running club HI Runners. Each runner receives a unique wooden race medal. Female and male winners in the following age categories will receive trophies: Under 18, under 40, under 50, under 60 and over 60. Minimum age for entering the Bonfire Burn 10k is 13 years.
