Event overview

The club has strong links with Bude Lifeboat, with several members either being or have been on the Lifeboat Crew or have family members involved. All surplus monies raised will go to the RNLI to help them save lives at sea and on inland waterways. After last years event we were able to present a cheque for £8032.09! The RNLI was originally founded in 1824. Bude Lifeboat station first opened in 1837 and operated through to until it's closure in 1923. A new Inshore Lifeboat was established in May 1966 making this year it's 60th anniversary. It is also the 25th anniversary of the RNLI Lifeguards first patrolling UK beaches in 2001. The evening has a 6 mile race around Bude’s cycleway, canal towpath and off road footpaths for those aged 15 and above. Plus 2 x Junior 1 mile races for those aged 15 and under, around a single lap course using the cycleway and canal towpath.

A good night's sleep is an essential foundation for a healthy lifestyle, effective training and weight control.

Train slow

Low-intensity training is easier for you, reduces the risk of injury and helps builds an efficient aerobic system.

Eat natural

Cut out sugar & junk food, reduce carbs, eat natural foods and train your body to burn fat for fuel.

Get outdoors

Fresh air, natural light and reconnecting with nature all help to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
