Event overview
The Burrator Noir is a well-established event, returning to its original venue at the Discovery Centre at Burrator Reservoir.
The trail route consists of moorland, plantation, leats, gnarly, rocky, paths and disused railway lines - all very 'runnable'. Two extra miles have been added to circumvent the B3212, which runners previously had to negotiate. Not any more - it just goes straight across. Itβs back as part of the Wild Night Run and Wild Run Series.
The Noir includes most of the original 10-mile trail route along the forested paths that lead from the Discovery Centre at Burrator Reservoir, along gnarly tracks, through open moorland towards Nunβs Cross, then left to Princetown. It then follows the old disused railway line near Foggintor Quarry and back to Burrator Reservoir via the trail behind Ingra Tor and through the leatside plantation.
The original kids' races have returned, in the spirit of the Wild Night Run Series.
This event is part of Burrator Noir | 12 Mile Night Trail Run and 10K Road Race.

Definitely the premium winter night race experience on Dartmoor, hills, mud, water, rocky single track, boggy squelchland, fast gravel, this race packs a punch and is not too be missed. See you next year. Robert C
This is a brilliant race. I would recommend downloading the GPX on your watch because when the fog is in and you're racing hard it is easy to miss a sign and take a detour into Princetown. The post race food was great. The ambience excellent. Great fun! Charlie B
Great event for all abilities, all clear and nice medals at the end. Ronnie H
Great night event taking in some adventurous terrain in Dartmoor. Well worth it for the atmosphere alone! Mark B
Great course, well organised and good atmosphere. I will enter this one again next year. Richard P
A really nice night event and great atmosphere.. Keep these events going - really great. Jake W
This is a great race through some challenging terrain on Dartmoor, but well marked so no risk of getting lost. the course covered big hills, boggy ground and rocky trails. Lot's of fun with the usual good atmosphere at the start / finish. Ian R
