Highlights
Iconic start and finish
The course starts and finishes close to The Rock in Bury town centre, putting you at the beating heart of the community.
Stunning mixed route
The 10K takes runners along Tottington Road and Bury Road before heading onto the scenic Kirklees Trail and looping back into the town centre — town meets countryside in one route.
Family running
With the Mini and Junior distances on the same day as the 10K, every generation can take part.
Medals and official timing
All finishers receive a goody bag and medal, and new for 2026, all junior events include official timing so young runners can celebrate a real result.
Vibrant event village
Bars, cafés and partner charities fill the area, creating a buzzing atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
Well-connected
Metrolink trams run directly to Bury Interchange (approximately 30 minutes from Manchester).

This was my first 'official' running event and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere was brilliant and the event was very well organised. I think I've got the bug now and will be looking to take part in more events in the future. Thanks to all involved. John W
Great local event with plenty of support and encouragement from spectators, fellow runners and organisers. A fast course and the free medal engraving at the end was an extra special touch. Ali-Ann H
