Event overview

The revival of this iconic and historic event will give thousands of runners the opportunity to take to the streets in the heart of the Welsh capital, as part of a race set to become one of the UK's largest distance events. Athletic activity for runners of all ages and abilities! CDF 10K Junior offers the whole family an exciting opportunity to get involved with the Cardiff 10K. It takes place on the same day, before the main race has got underway. It’s part of R4W Next Gen; a re-imagined series of family events that aim to inspire a future generation of healthy, active adults. There are a series of Junior Races on offer; a no-pressure, family-focused Fun Run, a Toddler Dash for those taking their first steps into physical activity and a Future Challengers race for talented young athletes and junior club runners looking for an accessible competitive race.

4 steps to wellbeing
Sleep well

A good night's sleep is an essential foundation for a healthy lifestyle, effective training and weight control.

Train slow

Low-intensity training is easier for you, reduces the risk of injury and helps builds an efficient aerobic system.

Eat natural

Cut out sugar & junk food, reduce carbs, eat natural foods and train your body to burn fat for fuel.

Get outdoors

Fresh air, natural light and reconnecting with nature all help to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
