Charmouth Challenge and Fun Run | 2 Mile Fun Run

The Charmouth Challenge is a chip timed 8-mile fell run with over 40 years of history. It is a hilly multi-terrain course through some of the finest coastal scenery in the South West on Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic Coast, overlooking Charmouth’s famous fossil hunting beaches with views to historic Lyme Regis. It includes an ascent of Golden Cap, which is the highest point on the South Coast of England at 191 metres. The Fun Run is a 2-mile run taking in Stonebarrow Hill. One adult can accompany up to 3 children aged 7 years and under. Children aged 8 years and above can run unaccompanied. The Charmouth Challenge has been organised every year since 1983 and is the main fund-raiser for our village Primary school. The event enjoys the valued support of the whole village and runners come from far and wide to participate.
