Event overview

Chopwell Wood was the home of our very first event in 2019 and the perfect venue for our popular Christmas Trail Runs. Chopwell Woods is a Forestry England site, set within 360-hectare of mixed woodland and is a real gem, located next to Rowlands Gill, on the fringe of Gateshead. The 8 mile is for anyone over 16. The 4 mile is for anyone over 11 wanting a quicker blast and a Santa 1 miler for anyone aged 3-11. An accompanying adult can run for free with their child on the Santa 1 mile. This event is Canicross friendly and we allow one controlled dog per runner. There will be Live Chip-Timing through Timing Up North. There will be a Medal, Event Merchandise, mince pies, chocolates and a drink for all finishers. Finishers of the Family Mile get a Medal, drink and selection box. There is the option to purchase an Event T-Shirt for £10 when you sign up. There is free parking on site but parking is VERY limited. Please walk to the event or car share where possible. The perfect venue for a Christmas Trail Run on the last weekend before Christmas. Every year the event is a sell out!!

This event is part of Chopwell Woods Christmas Trail Races.
