Event overview
Welcome to the second edition of the Racecheck Bronze-awarded Clevedon Sprint Triathlon, building on an already popular and well-loved event.
After taking over the Clevedon SwimRun in 2024, which earned Racecheck Silver in 2024 and Bronze in 2025, the team returns with the SwimRun on Saturday and triathlon on Sunday.
The weekend is designed as a celebration of swim, bike and run, for a wide range of abilities.
Highlights
- 750m open water swim in the safety of Clevedon Marine Lake
- Iconic Victorian Clevedon Pier as the swim backdrop
- Fast, undulating bike route looping towards Portishead and back
- Stunning coastal roads with sea views across the channel to Wales
- 5km run combining flat seafront promenade and scenic trails
- Trails include Poets Walk and Wains Hill
- Finish at Salthouse Fields with a memorable, photo-worthy finale

Timetable
The number of waves will be dependent on the number of entries.
Ability level
If you can confidently swim 100m, ride 25km and run 5-7km, thatβs great. Get involved with some Go Tri events and pool-based novice and sprint triathlons over the summer. This will stand you in good stead for the Clevedon Triathlon.
Training
Training is strongly recommended. A managed acclimatisation swim following the SwimRun is on offer. You can also join the βmid-week warriorsβ community group to help with your training.
Safety
Safety across the event will come in the form of kayakers for the swim section and appropriately positioned marshalls for the bike and run courses.

Brilliant event and hoping Chanel Events will do the same again next year. I am charman of the local Triathlon Club and we had lots of club members taking part, they all had a great time. Patrick G.
Superbly organised and well run event. Great atmosphere. Thomas W.
A very well organised challenging event. Great open water swim, technical bike and beautiful scenic run. Vince P.
Loved this event so much. So well organised and the marshals were fantastic even though there was biblical rainfall for the swim and cycle. Michelle L.
Loved it, though the run section would have preferred a more flat and open route as opposed to very hilly over and around Poet’s Walk. Event marshals were very supportive, really great atmosphere and will definitely do this again next year. Omar E.
Fantastic. Really well-run event. Dan L.
Channel Events always puts on a high quality, professionally run event and I really enjoyed today's Clevedon Triathlon. Lovely location, heaps of marshalls to help direct and a great route. Philippa R.

The volunteers and staff were really great, many thanks to all of them! You really helped. Charlotte S.
Very well run event with super clear navigation and very helpful Marshalls! The run wasn’t the most enjoyable (too many steep sections for a 5km route) but the swim and cycle were excellent. Ross J.
This was such a fantastic and well organised event. All the routes were very well marshalled, encouraging everyone on. Aidan S.
I was an on the day entry to the Clevedon Triathlon due to unforseen circumstances. Jan and all the staff and volunteers could not have been more helpful in making this a success for me. Paul B.
