Event overview
An ‘out and back’ course with a loop through Merriott. Roads are not closed but are relatively traffic free country lanes through attractive villages and hamlets with a degree of undulation. Junior 5K - Junior 5 kilometre Fun Run. Age 9 to 14 on race day. Approx. 5 kilometres on the main route out to the first drink station and return. Prizes in the Junior Fun Run only. 5K Fun Run - Age 15 and over on race day. Approx. 5 kilometers on the main route out to the first drink station and return. Changing & Toilets are available in the Town Hall, however no shower facilities are available. Drinks stations will be situated at approximately every 3 to 4 kilometres. Professional First Aid cover will be provided. The route will be well marked and marshalled. A souvenir tumbler will be awarded to 10K finishers and a snood for the 5K finishers. Part of the Somerset Race Series.
