- Recycling
- Sustainability policy
- Trees not tees
This event is doing its best to minimise its environmental impact. Here are a few of its initiatives:
Sustainability
Trees not tees
For all events which include a t-shirt, there is the option to plant a tree instead through a partnership with Treesnottees
Avoid single-use plastics
New paper cups have been sourced to be fully recycled back into high-grade paper.
Optional medals
Lots of competitors are not interested in finishers' medals so they are now optional. A £2 charity donation is made for every medal not selected.
Swim hats on request
Swim hats are provided for open water swimming events as they help the water safety teams keep track of swimmers. However for all pool events, swim hats are now on request to reduce wastage.
Reuseable zip ties and recycling
Reusable zip ties are used and all rubbish is sorted for recycling after the event.
Reducing car use
At the Burrator 10K running race those who commit to walking or cycling to the event get £5 discount.

Can't say a big enough THANK YOU to all who made this event such a great day. A great course and the weather just made it spectacular. Definitely coming back next year! Kerry Parker
Fantastic event overall! Well organised, supportive marshals, great atmosphere! Good communication pre-event, and on the day. The course was absolutely beautiful! Clear waters for swimming with lots of support and a safety crew around. Stunning views on the bike. Be prepared for some tough hills! The run was entirely on lanes, tarmac. Instant results, great medal and t-shirt. Snacks and drinks are provided at the end. Camping on the beach the night before was a plus. Totally recommend it! Jessica P

5 stars for everything - brilliant organisation, safety and atmosphere. Beautiful place and a real bonus to camp overnight. Liz J
It was a second time I did the event, and I am coming back next year again. The place is spectacular, the sea is calm and great for poor swimmers like me. A nice T-shirt for finishers. Andrea S
First Sprint and loved it. This is one of the most beautiful coastline in the UK. Will be doing again. Toby R
I completely the standard distance tri. Everything was perfect, ran smoothly from start to finish, literally couldn’t fault them for anything. Joe P
Great event - stunning location. Super organised registration and transition set up. Lovely friendly marshals and overall a great vibe. Great attention to detail by the organisers and good communication before the event. I liked being able to get a printout of my results immediately afterwards. I’d recommend this race - really good!
