My daughters attended this event and really enjoyed it. Hilary P

Just completed this race - great fun but warning that the run is almost all parkland / grass. The ground was waterlogged and you needed wellies rather than trainers in some parts!! Fully recommended. Anthony D

Great organisation, brilliant marshals and fantastic support from the crowds. Great event all round. Tough, muddy but brilliant. Liz S

Excellent event all round - definitely recommend first timers to try it - loved it & will certainly be doing more :-) Thanks to all involved. Abi M

Fab race. Well organised, great marshals, great race atmosphere. Even better with great tasting donuts at the end. Leah C

A great event, well organised and equipped. Marshalls were very supportive. Free massage and muscle therapy was a great addition. The Donuts of course made the day. It was great to see so many Youth and Tristar entries. Thank you. Andrew K

Absolutely fantastic event with seamless organisation! Joseph A

Great event, well organised, thank you! Anna J

The doughnut duathlon is a great, fun race. Simple route/transition and location. The run is a 5k loop round the veolpark and out through a park, a bit uneven underfoot but nothing too major. The bike was the star of this show, flat, fast tarmac and some serious chain gang action that you can get involved in if you're lucky. Kit D

  • Recycling
  • Sustainability policy
  • Trees not tees

This event is doing its best to minimise the environmental impact of this event. Here are a few of their initiatives:

Sustainability

  • Trees not tees

For all events which include a t-shirt, there is the option to plant a tree instead through a partnership with Treesnottees

  • Avoid single-use plastics

New paper cups have been sourced to be fully recycled back into high-grade paper.

  • Optional medals

Lots of competitors are not interested in finishers' medals so they are now optional. A £2 charity donation is made for every medal not selected.

  • Swim hats on request

Swim hats are provided for open water swimming events as they help the water safety teams keep track of swimmers. However for all pool events, swim hats are now on request to reduce wastage.

  • Reuseable zip ties and recycling

Reusable zip ties are used and all rubbish is sorted for recycling after the event.

  • Reducing car use

At the Burrator 10K running race those who commit to walking or cycling to the event get £5 discount.
