Event overview

Commences with a tough climb out of Eyam up to Sir William Hill, past the Barrel Inn and over towards Bretton Clough. Once there you are rewarded with one of the best views of the Peak District. No time for sightseeing though as you turn right and plummet down through Abney Moor, around a tight switch back and up through the lovely heather towards Sir William Hill again. The route then takes you down through a steep wooded section before you emerge back in to Eyam. As well as the usual prizes we have the Archie Hartwright Memorial Trophy for the first mixed club team. Junior Fell Race - Enter on the day outside Eyam Sports Pavilion. £3 per runner (cash only). This is a great introduction to fell running for youngsters and the course has been tried out by a variety of abilities. You don’t have to be an athlete to take part! It’s all about having fun. Prizes for different age categories U13, U15, U17 and for 1st local. This run involves a steep ascent including steps, a level section and a steep descent. Shoes with a good grip are advised. The route is marshalled.
