Overview

Hosted by Gnosall Globetrotters Running CLub, the Gnosall 10K (ish!) is a picturesque 11.2k multi-terrain race open to 400 runners of all abilities. Set in the village of Gnosall, the race incorporates the Shropshire Union Canal, the disused railway line, farm lanes and fields, and is arguably the most beautiful 10K (ish!) in Staffordshire. The Gnosall10K (ish!) is renowned for being one of the friendliest races around, everyone is welcome and encouraged to take part, irrespective of your running ability. The race arena also has refreshments, a play area and activities to keep spectators and families entertained.

Who can enter the race?

This friendly 10K race is open to runners of all abilities. All finishers receive a fantastic technical t-shirt (pre-order your t-shirt size if you enter before April) and yummy goodies as their reward at the finish line. There are prizes for the first three men and women and numerous spot prizes (prosecco, beer and chocolate goodies!) for those runners who deserve a little something special for their hard work, irrespective of how long the race takes them. There is also the Sam Myatt trophy in memory of a much-loved young runner from Gnosall for the fastest young finisher (runners aged 20 years or younger).

What is the route like?

Starting and finishing at the Gnosall Family Sports Club the race will follow much the same route as last year, incorporating the Shropshire Union Canal, local farmland paths, the woodland area of Broadhill, the disused railway line (Route 55) and the ‘boardwalk’ through The Acres. The course is an undulating, multi-terrain route through some absolutely beautiful countryside and has the most friendly and supportive race marshals encouraging you along the way.
