This event is fortunate to be joined by a fantastic contingent of brilliant, aspiring young racers for whom there is a nippy, untimed 1K out and back race. The 5K runners present on the night love supporting junior runners and love to give them a huge cheer as they cross the finish.

Lovely race. Enthusiastic RD and well marshalled. Fantastic HQ for food and coffee afterwards. Normal route is a quick out and back and the summer 2024 revised route is also great fun. Highly recommend for anyone of all abilities. James C
Really enjoyable friendly race for all the family a 1K for the children and 5K for the adults. Neil B
Loved it Loved it Loved it. Beat my nemesis and got a V60 PB to boot. A gorgeous sunny evening for a seaside burn up with friends... Great to see athletic clubs recognising the course as great training (and PB) opportunities. Looking forward to Race 4. Nick C
A fast and flat 5K in Stokes Bay, which is beautiful on a calm summer's evening! Huge PB potential and excelling event organisation! Also attracts good competition, too! Rob A
I love these events as the weather can be so unpredictable, and if right theres always a chance for a PB. Good turn out of local runners too. Flat and fast course. Martin C
