Wheelchair entrants

The Great Bristol Run is suitable for wheelchair users. There is a question on the entry form that asks if you are a wheelchair user and if you will be participating in a self-propelled racing wheelchair, or if you will be participating in a standard wheelchair and will be assisted (pushed).

Business Challenge

The Business Challenge is a corporate running challenge in the biggest cities across the UK. It’s open to organisations of all shapes and sizes, is suitable for groups large or small (minimum team of 4) and is great for all ages and abilities. If you’re tired of cringey teambuilding exercises, it’s a great way to invest in workforce wellbeing for a happier and healthier team.

  • A team can be four or more, there is no maximum number of team members.
  • The finishing times of the fastest 4 members of the team will be used to calculate the overall team time.
  • Manage your team through an easy-to-use group dashboard. Swap runners up until six weeks before the event.

Bristol, I love you so much and Great Run what a fantastic experience you gave me for my very first race, I will be back!

Very well organised event, Great Run do a fantastic job. Nice medal and goodie bag, well-supported route. It's a staple in the run calendar.

A great experience that must be tried by anyone who likes to run! Fast and flat, it's ideal for achieving that PB! Great views of the city.

I'd definitely recommend this race to anyone looking to do a 10K race and get the feel for a 'big' running event.

Loved everything about it, the support, course, medal. One of my favourite runs.

A fantastic event that I will never forget. Can't wait for next year.

I truly believe it's all about believing in yourself. My only regret is I didn't do this event years ago.

This was my first event run that I have ever participated in and what a day I had! The whole day was incredible that was made possible by the volunteers/staff AND supporters. The whole 'the crowd will carry you' comment, I completely understood - especially through Queens Square. I really did enjoy myself so much that I have already signed up for another 10km this year and maybe the half next year! Rhys M

One of the best races I’ve ever done. Incredible energy and great support! Paula D

Fantastic event with great crowds supporting all the runners. All staff, volunteers and marshals were excellent and very helpful. Highly recommend this run and I’ll definitely be back next year to do it all over again! James P

In addition, it is striving to improve performance even further by making sure that sustainability is embedded at the heart of the organisation and culture.

Trees not tees

Finisher tees are now optional. You can choose to forgo your finisher tee shirt at the point of entry, and in lieu of this the organiser will make a donation to the National Trust Woodlands Appeal.

The organisers will donate a portion of the fulfilment costs for each runner who chooses this option to the fund and commit that this donation to be around £20,000.
