Event overview

It's an award-winning event that's received major recognition for its positive and valuable contribution to people's health & wellbeing, and for seven years in a row it's been shortlisted for the title of 'Best Event' in Bristol. Added to which, the post-event feedback from participants is overwhelmingly positive year after year - and there simply aren't many cycling events that can match all of this! The 2023 edition of the GWR was another great success where the combination of a spectacular route, lots of amazing support, and a whole bunch of lovely people on bikes all added up to yet another fabulous cycling day out. Riders' reactions & comments showed that they had a great time and felt a huge sense of achievement at having risen to the challenge that the GWR presents, and plans are well underway for more of the same in 2024 - and entry for the 2024 GWR is OPEN.
