If you like beautiful races in beautiful places, like fun, like medals and like goodies then this event is for you.
You'll enjoy a course at your own pace, marshals, feed stations and treat table at the finish line as well as a bespoke finishers medal.
This event is part of the It's Grim Up North calendar of runs, offering a range of distances and levels of difficulty so there is something for everyone.
Famous for its low-key approach, all runners will be greeted with a warm smile and friendly chat.
The aim is to get you out running, help you enjoy the beautiful countryside with great camaraderie and for you to experience the sense of well-being you get when you cross that finish line.
Having completed your race the type of goodies everyone wants will await you!
You'll be shown that the North is anything but Grim.

Broad Lane (canal side)
Parking is free, there will be a marshal from 07:45 to point you in the right direction.
The route is good underfoot. There may be puddles on the canal towpath if there is heavy rain beforehand.
There are two road crossings on the routes - please take extra care. Marshals are not allowed to stop traffic. The roads will be marked by a sign.
Please do not run-in large groups Take a wide berth when approaching/overtaking runners, cyclists, dog walkers etc. Please be courteous to all other canal users.
There will be water/feed stations along the route every 3 to 4 miles. Marshals will be placed along the route at the turnaround points and on the water/feed stations.

This is cupless event. All runners are requested to bring their own labelled, reusable cup or bottle.
