Event overview

CPJ's very own 10k race was voted number 1 in the South of England by 'Let Do This & Runners World. This popular event offers an exclusive opportunity to test your stamina and endurance at one of the iconic venues from London 2012 - the Mountain Bike Circuit used in both the men's and women's MTB Olympic races. The race offers a unique chance to run this challenging course set within the grounds of Hadleigh Castle, which proved a tough test for the Olympians in the summer of 2012. Due to the time of year, the course is likely to be muddy! It is NEW ONE LAP course and you can expect some tough inclines along with sections that use the grass fields and footpaths surrounding the park. The course has been measured using GPS but, because of its multi terrain nature, it cannot carry a certificate of course accuracy. The route will be clearly marked using large route arrows and directional cones, as well as being marshalled throughout. The circuit is officially closed and, although we have secured special permission from Essex County Council to stage the run, there may be the occasional walker and dog walker, so you should exercise care when running.
