Event overview

This Iconic run starts at the World Heritage site of Housesteads Roman Fort on the Military Road and follows the Hadrian’s wall trail path for 6 miles. Runners will then head down to Newbrough, through woodland to the Tyne Riverside trail path which heads back to Hexham and the finish will be at Tyne Green Country Park. For this A-B event runners will need to book the shuttle bus to the start or get dropped off. There will be a bag drop at registration. A testing trail event with some outstanding scenery, the last 5 miles of which are flat, finishers will be rewarded with a Medal, a long sleeve technical T-shirt, snack & a beer or soft drink. Runners will be will be set off in groups of 75-100 due to the historic nature of the site and parking limits and start times will be based on predicted finish times. All runners will be allocated a wave number in the weeks leading up to the event. This event is Canicross friendly and we allow one dog per runner.
