Hardnott & Wrynose Recce

It’s not your standard sportive and it’s not an audax, it’s somewhere in-between. Unlike a standard sportive there is only one route option around 70 miles (apart from the Flat 200) and there aren’t any directional arrows, it’s based on the fact that all riders taking part have their own navigation device and we will be emailing everyone with a highly detailed GPX file before each event. Unlike a standard audax, the GPX events will have all of the other facilities of a standard sportive, free parking, access to a cafe and toilets at the start, a fully loaded (Sportive HQ style) feed stop with big sandwiches, savoury snacks, crisps, cake, fruit, isotonic drinks and tea & coffee available. We will also have a mechanic and a medic on hand should you have any issues on the day and if for any reason you are unable to complete the ride, we will have options for rider recovery as well. All of the events are based around locations with a cafe so you can get food and good coffee before and after the event as well. The main 70 (ish) mile GPX events will all be priced at just £22.50 each and be limited to just 200 riders so we can maintain that really friendly feel to the day. The Flat 200 – our 200 mile GPX ride  is priced at £65 but it includes 5 feed stops, hot food, beer at the finish and GPS trackers for everyone so that your friends and family can ‘dot-watch’ and see exactly where you are on the day. These events are designed around the ‘cyclo tourist’ in you, to allow you to experience cycling in different areas around the UK whilst in a safe environment of support from our team.
