Half marathons are a classic distance every runner can aspire to achieve. At 13.1 miles, it's incredibly popular as an ideal step up after a 10K or 10 mile race. The half marathon is ideal for the busy runner who's still looking for a classic challenge.
Royal Parks Half going plastic bottle free by 2020
The Royal Parks make up over 5,000 acres of green space in the heart of London and are used by more than 70 million people a year. Every Autumn, four of the parks host the City's largest half marathon taking in world-famous landmarks together with Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
By 2020, the organisers have committed to going plastic bottle free on the entire course and this year there will be no plastic water bottles on the route (just at the finish line). Read more about this iconic route through the Royal Parks.
