Anyone of any gender, age or ability is welcome and safe to take part in a race. First-timers and old-timers, the next generation and the elites, clubs and corporates, schools and seniors are welcome. The more the merrier.

Clubs

Discounts and club event areas.

All sports clubs are welcome to take part in the events and group discounts are available, tailored waves for club championships, trading places scheme, as well as allocating you a place to pitch gazebos for a meeting spot in the event village.

Corporates

Creating healthy teams.

There are opportunities for companies to experience the events together – a great way to build team morale and friendly competition. This can include group booking discounts, pre- and post-race refreshment from your own hospitality marquee, your own company wave, custom kit and more.

First timers

Compete or complete.

There are starter distances across all disciplines and a very supportive community of athletes and marshals to help you feel confident and comfortable completing your first race.

Mini Commando

The next generation.

There will be a mini obstacle course within the event village. The £8 entry ticket allows unlimited laps.

Elites

Races for champions.

Rising stars and athletes have raced in the Castle Race Series from the very beginning. Many of the series triathlon events host qualifying and national championships races in partnership with the BTF, TI and FF Tri, and the obstacle race is now a OCR World Championship Qualifier.

Female focussed

Closing the gap.

Over the last few years female participation has been increased to 38% by adding a greater variety of distances, female-only waves, launching the virtual series and making strategic partnerships.

Set in spectacular countryside, the delightful Hever Castle, with camping options at the event offer an invite to explore the gentle countryside that surrounds the area. Visit the charming village of Edenbridge, or ease those aching muscles with some gentle walking around the splendid countryside that constitutes the High Weald AONB.

Camping

A family campsite is set up in the castle grounds suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Pitches start at £30.

This event appreciates that the health of the planet is a huge challenge and has made commitments to tackle these challenges which they will continually measure, evolve and improve.

This event absolutely needs to be on your bucket list! I actually cannot find fault at all.  The warm up is just hilarious and like no other i've ever experienced, and i've done A LOT.  The course is well marked, obstacles are unique and achievable for everyone. The organisation is second to none! Literally a military operation. This event is definitely one to do with friends, the camaraderie on course is just excellent. Donna

Commando never fails to deliver a great race and event atmosphere. The setting at Hever is perfect with obstacles fitting in with the natural environment. All obstacles are achievable with great encouragement from staff and volunteers. I always have a great time volunteering or running. Will be back next year for sure. Sarah B
