Event overview

A scenic 5 mile loop mainly on open, country roads, with a sting-in-the-tail at the 4 mile marker. The event starts and finishes at Warneford School in Highworth so is spectator friendly. Tea, coffee, water and (lots of) cake will be readily available at race HQ. Association of UK Course Measurers Certified accurate 5-mile road race. Completion medals for all and trophies to the first 3 Male and first 3 Female runners to finish, age category winners will also receive an award. There will be a first Team award too - the first 3 runners home count (Male or Female). NOTE: to be included in the team award, a runner must be wearing a club vest / top. This race is not suitable for wheelchairs because most of the route is on narrow roads with no pavement and limited space for cars to pass or muddy patches from farm vehicles or large potholes making it difficult for wheelchairs to navigate safely. We do not allow dogs because the route is on public roads. This race is timed with individual chips. There is no bag drop facility at the race headquarters. All runners are asked to leave their personal belongings in their car.
