The Hillingdon 20, (formerly the Finchley 20), is the longest-running 20-mile race in the UK. A hilly 20 mile road race, an ideal build-up to the London or other spring marathons.

It's excellent preparation for spring marathons. This event will feature the Hertfordshire 20 mile Championships.

There are a large number of free parking spaces at the crematorium. Limited pay and display parking is available nearby at Ruislip Lido. The nearest station is Ruislip Station.

Four laps of a 5 mile loop.  Mostly for the club runners as a long training run for Spring marathons.  HQ is HIllingdon AC, space to change indoors with showers.  No fancy thrills, just well organised and marshalled. Does use open roads on sections and crosses junctions so be aware.  Car parking available 5 minutes away. Peter W

This is likely to be the hilliest 20 mile run I've done in the lead-up to a marathon, and I think this was good training for that and for a very hilly ultra a couple of months after. David P
