Event overview

Starting from the village of Bowmore, the runs heads out to Islay Airport and back in a circular route that takes in the stunning Islay scenery. The Islay Half-Marathon route begins in Bowmore, heading immediately up towards the iconic Round Church, before heading along Jamieson Street, then returning towards the Round Church. After passing the Round Church, you head out on the Cruach Road, passing through the undulating Islay farmland, to join the High Road towards Port Ellen. At the Link Road you turn, heading straight for the airport. Then it's back along the long stretch of the Low Road along and then finally up to Bowmore. An entertaining mix of flats, inclines and beautiful scenery make this a fantastic run for all-comers!
