Event overview

As you ascend towards Thorncombe Beacon, the rugged beauty of the cliffs and the endless sea beyond provide an inspiring backdrop. The path is a mix of well-trodden trails and grassy slopes, offering a bit of a challenge without being overly technical. The final stretch brings runners back towards West Bay, with the dramatic coastline guiding the way. As you descend, the promise of a well-earned rest is a short flat run back to the Finish. Whether you’re chasing a time or just out to enjoy a memorable day on the trails, this route delivers the perfect mix of challenge, scenery, and coastal charm. The run is a mix of Road, Track, Grass track and Pathways. This is a friendly, small-scale local run with a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. Once you start, we’ll be cheering you all the way to the finish! Everyone gets a medal and a recorded time, so just bring a positive spirit and enjoy the day — it’s about having fun, not chasing Olympic gold, off course you can chase your best time, but we welcome runners, walkers and jeffers, come and enjoy (as best you can), the beauty of the Jurassic coast.
