On this walk we will leave the well-trodden paths to criss-cross the plateau and to explore some of Kinder’s unique features, including distinctive rock formations and the complex system of water channels known as “groughs” which have been gouged out of the peat over centuries. With wonderful panoramas and picture opportunities, we will also visit the summit point and the famous Kinder Downfall which is the highest waterfall in the National Park; and there’ll be a chance to see and hear about the extensive restoration work that has been carried out to protect this valuable landscape for generations to come.
