Event overview

North Belfast Harriers organise the annual Laganside 10k road race. The race is a hugely popular 10k which year on year attracts large numbers of participants. The race starts and finishes within Ormeau Park, near the Ormeau Road entrance and the Bowling Pavillion. The course will take runners through the park, exiting onto the Ravenhill Road. Taking a left along the Albertbridge Road they then turn into the Lagan towpath towards the Ormeau Bridge. Runners will come out at the Ormeau Bridge head back along the side of the river on the Ormeau Embankment to begin a second lap of the towpath. On the second time heading up Ormeau Embankment, runners will turn right into the Ozone car park, following the path then taking a left at the end of the path. Head straight along the path until you get to the top of Ormeau Park then take a right corner heading back down the park. Runners will head straight down the path until they reach the finish. There is a fun 1-mile event aimed at children aged between 6 and 15 years old. While the emphasis is on fun and participation, mums or dads will be allowed to run alongside younger competitors if they wish. All children who finish the 1-mile event will receive a medal and a goody bag.

This event is part of Laganside 10K.
