Lakeland Paws Grizedale Growl: East Side

This route was created at very short notice last year due to storm damage stopping us from running our normal Grizedale route, but we loved it so much, Green Space Events have decided to make it a permanent fixture. These route are slightly longer but less mountainous and technical. On both routes at Grizedale we offer a 5k or 10k route. The scenery at Grizedale is stunning. We run from close to the main carpark on the East of the forest on wide forest tracks throughout the event. Forest permissions limit us to 75 places at Grizedale Growl so please be quick if this in the event for you. It does still have ascent. Our 10k route has 260m of elevation and our 5k has 150m. Due to wide paths and less technical trails two dogs per runner are allowed at Grizedale. We have graded our 10k route as BLUE. We have graded our 5K route as BLUE.
