Event overview
Born from the legacy of Jane Tomlinson CBE, with a philosophy that everybody is welcome, the Leeds 10K is far more than a race; it's the city coming alive. Over 15 years, it has grown into one of the highlights of Leeds' events calendar.
From seasoned athletes to first-timers, the day is a celebration of spirit, fitness and community, with something for every age and ambition, including junior runs and a corporate team challenge.
Highlights
An iconic city-centre route
Starting from the Parkinson Steps at the University of Leeds, the course winds through Hyde Park, along Headingley Lane and Otley Road, before finishing triumphantly along The Headrow.
Electric finish-line atmosphere
Thousands of runners cross the line to roaring crowds and an electric atmosphere in the heart of Leeds.
A festival for the whole family
The Mini (1.5K) and Junior (2.5K) runs give young athletes and families the chance to experience the excitement and camaraderie of race day in a safe, fun environment.
Team up with colleagues
The Clarion Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge sees teams of five compete to cross the finish line in the quickest combined time, making it a brilliant workplace event.
Vibrant Event Village
Millennium Square hosts the Event Village, with food, drink, and partner charities all creating a buzzing pre- and post-race hub.

Keeping Leeds green
This event is committed to keeping Leeds green and does its bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site.
It is important that we leave the course the way we found it. Recycling bins will be provided on course at each water station and we ask that you use them. If you want to hand on to your water beyond the provided bins, please pass any litter to your nearest marshal.
Let’s work together to Keep Leeds green and encourage other runners to do the same.
